Weaju

Only Underground Operation on going at this site.Construction of the Weaju underground portal and support facilities commenced in 2022. Ore production from the underground operations started in 2023, with all the ore being transported to the New Liberty processing plant.

Mining of the Weaju mineralisation is conducted using a combination of transverse & longitudinal sublevel stoping and Cut&Fill mining methods due to the varying dips in the folded orebody. Mining of the down-dip extension of the mineralization will continue by underground operation.

• Total Lateral Development has reached about 14 km
• Deepest underground portal has reached the final vertical depth (305m)
• Project to May 2024 production:
  • Total mined: 1.52M tonnes
  • Total ore: 0.82M tonnes
  • Average ore grade mined: 3.45 g/t gold
  • Total waste: 0.7M tonnes
