Tire Retreading Plant
Avesoro has a tire retreading plant with 600 units/month production capacity at the NLGM site. The tire plant receives used tires that meet the criteria for recycling and inspects them to ensure they are suitable for reuse. The tires are then cleaned and inspected for any damage that may prevent them from being safely reused. If a tire is found to be damaged beyond repair, it is disposed of properly in accordance with environmental regulations.
After the retreading process is complete, the tires are inspected again to ensure they meet quality standards and are safe for use. Once approved, the tires are ready to be used in mining operations, helping to reduce the demand for new tires and decrease the number of tires that are disposed of.
Kep parameters of the Plant:
- 600 units/month production capacity (one autoclave every day)
- Production range 16” to 24” rim size
- 7 Step Retread Process; initial inspection, buffing, repair, extrusion, tread building, enveloping & curing, final inspection
- Precured tire retreading method
Overall, the tire plant plays a crucial role by reusing tires that have structural integrity in promoting sustainability and environmental protection by extending the life of tires and reducing waste in the mining sites.
