Increase to previously announced equity financing

Aureus Mining Inc. (TSX: AUE / AIM: AUE) (“Aureus” or the “Company”) is pleased to announce that that GMP Securities Europe LLP and Numis Securities Limited (together, the “Agents ”), appointed in connection with the previously announced private placement of 153,000,000 new common shares of the Company (“Shares“) at a price of 5p per share to raise gross proceeds of £7.65 million (approximately US$ 11.5million) (the “Offering“), have exercised in full the option granted by the Company, to the Agents, to increase the Offering by up to 10% and that accordingly the Offering will now be in respect of 168,300,000 Shares to raise gross proceeds of approximately £8.4 million (approximately US$ 12.7 million).

As previously announced the closing of the Offering is expected to occur on or around 9 December 2015, or such other date as the Company and the Agents may agree, being no later than 23 December 2015.

This announcement should be read in conjunction with the announcement made by the Company in respect of the Offering on 30 November 2015. The closing of the Offering is subject to certain conditions described in the 30 November 2015 announcement.
